Hellfire Cubs raise funds for Barnardos

The Cubs 2025 Christmas Charity Fundraiser raised an amazing €2,600!

The Cubs organised and held a tremendous bake sale to raise funds for their chosen Charity, Barnardos in December. They also collected raffle prizes (a big thanks for the support of local businesses & traders), spread the word and staffed the event on the day.

Our other sections in the 37th Troop all chipped in to help. The Beavers made Christmas decorations and reindeer food, the Scouts created key-chains and the Venture Scouts hand crafted tree decorations. All to raise funds for this great cause!

Recently, we had the pleasure of a visit from Jo Garry, Fundraising Events & Community Executive who explained to the Cubs of the history and current need for Barnardos services to support children and families affected by disadvantage, trauma and bereavement. The Cubs learned a lot and we'd like to thank Jo for giving up her evening to talk with the Cubs.
